I loved photographing Abby and Bobby’s Arnold Arboretum engagement photos! They were referred by one of my other favorite couples. I hope I get to stick with this friend group as long as they’re as cool as these two!
We went to the arboretum at the end of May, an ideal time to catch the Rhododendrons in bloom! Rhododendron Dell is one of the best places to photograph. There are 97 different kinds of the plants in this area, and I especcially love the Rhododendron along Bussey Brook. There’s so much color to capture there, especially in the Spring.
They did a quick outfit change by sneaking into the woods. We walked back closer to the entrance to one of my other favorite spots which is a little hidden path that is really tight to walk through. If you go in the main entrance, it’ll be on your left just after Linden path splits off from the main path. You really feel like you’re surrounded by plants because you are, but it’s such a cool spot to walk through.

I do love finding hard light like this is direct sun. You can’t shoot with this light the whole time, but it’s fun to play around.
This little walkway is right across from the Rhododendron Dell.
