Barker Tavern Scituate Wedding

Today, I’m looking back on this late summer 2020 Barker Tavern Scituate wedding. Katie and Eric love Scituate and I even met them at the Scituate Lighthouse for their engagement session. On the day of their wedding, Katie and her girls got ready at The Inn at Scituate Harbor. Eric and his guys got ready at the Barker Tavern, where their reception would be help later in the day. Everything location was within 5 minutes of each other, so it was easy for me to go back and forth to capture everything. After getting ready we all went down to the boat launch for their first look. It was such a beautiful day and I loved the backdrop with all the boats in the background. We then walked up to Museum Beach for a few more photos before their beach ceremony.

The ceremony was beautiful!

It was outside and socially-distanced which was officiated by Eric’s brother. There were so many funny, sweet and emotional moments. After a few more family photos, we rode up to the Lighthouse in the classic Mustang to capture the amazing Scituate sunset.

Finally, back at the Barker Tavern, they had their first dance and dinner. The Barker Tavern in Scituate is an ideal intimate wedding venue. Though, it didn’t look like they had originally imagined due to COVID, they still were able to pull off an intimate and fun wedding day with their closest people!

Dad needs a first look too!

What a stunning backdrop!

They literally tied the knot 🙂

The best! They are just so happy.

This one is definitely one of my favorites from this day. Love the classic Mustang!

We bring our kids often to the Scituate Lighthouse so I know the best spots for lighting and where to go to avoid the crowds!

To know me is to know my forever love of silhouettes 🙂

I love how they displayed their engagement photos at their reception!

Here’s what Katie had to say about her experience.

“It is hard to describe in words just how amazing our experience with Stephen was from start to finish. Stephen was very responsive, kind, understanding, and super helpful. Especially as we were forced to navigate and re-plan our big day due to the confusing and constantly evolving challenges coronavirus threw at us this year. In the end, we had the perfect day. Stephen was able to capture the emotion of every moment in his pictures. The photos blew us away, and our family and friends are still talking about how amazing he was 8 weeks later. Especially his unique and creative ideas to give us more than just traditional wedding photos.

Since our wedding, we’ve had family & friends asking for his contact information so he can also work his magic during their events. Stephen’s pictures are amazing. It was equally notable that he was truly a part of the intimate group present at our wedding. Everyone felt like they got to know him, and he was very attentive to the details of the day, and accommodating to all our guests’ requests. We are planning to throw a future wedding reception and will definitely be coordinating with Stephen’s schedule to make sure he can help capture that the fun and exciting emotions of that event as well! We would recommend Stephen to anyone, you will not be disappointed!
