I loved this Birch Wood Vineyards wedding! It’s just over the border in Derry, New Hampshire and is a hidden gem of a venue. It has a rustic elegance that so many couples are going for. I also think this venue would be perfect in any season. Even if you couldn’t get outside in the winter it would definitely feel warm and cozy inside. I really enjoyed working with the Birch Wood Vineyards team. It was my first time here and they were super helpful and also just had it down to a science. The whole day ran so smoothly.
As soon as you walk in the front door you’re greeted by this huge wine wall, it is a vineyard after all. They have two great spaces for each party to get ready. I love this because you don’t need to go anywhere else, you can spend the entire day here. Hair and makeup has plenty of space to work. The guys had their own area upstairs on the other side of the building so they wouldn’t cross paths before the first look. Nikki and Max read private vows to each other after their first look. This is a newer trend which I really love. If you can, your guests would obviously love to be able to hear your vows during the ceremony. But for some couplkes, it’s just too much and they want to be able to say what they want to say to each other in private.
The ceremony spot outside was really spectacular. It’s such an intimate spot tucked away in the vineyard. Afterwards they walked back up the aisle and hugged everyone. I love the moments right after the ceremony that are full of emotion. They had a quick bite and got the dress bustled and joined cocktail hour.
During the reception we hopped outside quickly for some photos with just Nikki and Max and then they were back inside and danced the rest of the night!
