Monica and Kaleb’s Boston Liberty Hotel micro wedding was one that I was really looking forward to. They gave me so much time for portraits before their small ceremony and we took advantage of it. I arrived after they were dressed and ready and met them in the lobby of the Liberty. I knew we had to get a few photos inside before heading out because it’s just such a cool space. They both looked great and I especially love the photos we got on the escalator. When i first arrived I saw this little patch of sunlight which was moving quickly. By the time we were ready for photos, they needed to ride the escalator down first and then ride it backwards to go up. As soon as they hit the sun they kissed and it’s one of my favorite photos.
The Liberty is such a great wedding venue for many reasons, but a big one is it’s proximity to so many iconic and beautiful locations in Boston. The Public Garden, Beacon Hill, and the Esplanade are all within walking distance. We started in Beacon Hill. I’m so familiar with this area having photographed a ton of couples here, so we were able to make the most of our time here. Starting at Cedar Lane Way, we then walked up to Louisburg Square. We then walked across the bridge over to the Charles River. Back at the Liberty we were able to use their amazing outdoor space for photos before heading inside for the ceremony. I stuck around for cocktail hour out on the rotunda before heading out while they enjoyed an intimate dinner with their closest friends and family. They’ll be having their huge wedding later this year in Panama and i know it’s going to be beautiful.
