Before we jump in, be sure to check out Mel and Pete’s Wingaersheek Beach engagement session. A couple weeks ago, I photographed my first small wedding due to COVID-19. Mel & Pete had planned to have a huge celebration, but of course COVID happened and the whole world stopped. But, they still wanted to get married on their original date so they just invited their immediate families. They hosted an IG Live for the rest of their family that couldn’t attend in person.
I loved the simplicity and intimacy of this Essex Room micro wedding. You could really feel the happiness everyone had to be able to come together during this time and witness Mel and Pete get married. My favorite part was the father-daughter dance when everyone just lost it. It was such a lovely, emotional moment and makes me think of how I’ll just be a puddle on the floor when my daughter gets married!
Even though it was a very small wedding, check out these details, and that dessert table! Mel and her friend did a wonderful job creating this fun space for their families.
