Gibbet Hill Wedding

I was so excited to finally be back at one of my favorite venues for Emma and Nolan’s Gibbet Hill wedding! It is a gorgeous rustic farm venue, but is elegant enough for a beautiful wedding. The view at the ceremony space is iconic. There’s nothing quite like it in New England. The huge rolling hills and cows in the distance make it so unique. The Barn at Gibbet Hill is less than an hour from Boston in the town of Groton, MA. There’s a fantastic restaurant attached to it if you ever want to just go grab dinner there. Inside the 100 year old restored barn is a swanky yet rustic setting for a wedding. I love when they add the drapery to the beams, and as a bonus it gives me something white to bounce a flash off of.

Emma and Nolan had a really sweet ceremony. Nolan couldn’t hide the tears as Emma walked down the aisle. You can tell they really love each other. We started doing some individual photos with Emma and her side, then Nolan and his side separately. They waited until the ceremony to see each other. Afterwards we gathered their families and got some portraits of everyone together. We then walked around the property and found some stunning backdrops for a few photos of just the newlyweds while everyone enjoyed cocktail hour.

Back inside the barn they had their first dance, a few toasts and enjoyed a great dinner. We then headed out for a few more photos at sunset. I love Gibbet Hill for all the photo opportunities within a very short walk. After cutting their cake (with a saber) they danced the night away!

That’s a professional dip right there!

During the reception it’s great to be able to step out onto the porch for some fresh air!
