After their fun engagement session, I was so excited to photograph Monica and Jake’s Lake Pearl summer wedding. Monica and her girls got ready in the suite next to the boathouse. It’s a beautiful house on the lake with plenty of room upstairs and downstairs for everyone to get ready for the big day. Once we were ready and Jake and the boys arrived on site, we all went outside to the beach for their first look. They decided to have their ceremony in the boathouse and it is such a unique wedding ceremony venue. I love the way you can shoot from many different directions and we had fun finding unique angles of the ceremony. They were so happy afterwards and I love the second kiss coming back up the aisle as much as the first!
Cocktail hour was on the lawn outside the tent and it was a beautiful evening. There were a ton of kids at the wedding and they all got to use the playground while the adults got to mingle. Monica and Jake even took a turn on the slide before heading in to their reception!
One of the best parts of any Lake Pearl wedding is being able to go over to the beach at night for the sunset. I love those photos we got. Back on the dance floor, grandma was a big part of the night. Everyone was twirling her around in her wheelchair. We finished the night with some amazing desserts, one of which Monica dropped, and she was so sad lol.
