I have a new venue to add to my favorites list! So excited to share this The Bohlin Newport wedding. Before we get to The Bohlin there was a lot of fun things to photograph first. Courtney and Joe both rented separate b&bs right across from The Bohlin for getting ready with their wedding parties. We then all hopped on the Newport Trolley to head over to The Elms. If you’re getting in Newport and you’re looking for a spot to take photos, definitely check out The Elms. You can rent it for an hour and then go get married. It’s such a perfect spot, with endless options for photos.
Back at The Bohlin we went out on the dock for a few photos, then got hidden away before guests arrived for the ceremony. The ceremony is right at the end of the dock on the water. The huge yachts passing by in the background makes you really feel like you’re in Newport! Everyone stays in the same space for cocktail hour before being invited in to the reception tent. The Bohlin has probably the nicest tent I’ve seen in Newport. Courtney and Joe made sure there would be string lights outside the tent as well, which I loved. This was also one of the craziest dance parties of the year and it was so fun seeing some past families I’ve worked with as well!
You can check out their Charlestown engagement session here.
Here’s what Courtney had to say:
“My now husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Stephen at a family wedding two years ago. After seeing his work, there was no question to who I would choose to shoot our wedding. From the engagement shoot to the big day, Stephen was such a pleasure to work with. We had so much fun with him. He was able to capture everything from the serious moments to the fun on the dance floor! Thank you Stephen for being a part of our big day.”
