Understanding the Two Seasons of Willowdale

Unlike many venues that look the same year-round, Willowdale offers two distinct experiences based on when you get married.

Tent Season (May through October) This is when Willowdale is at its most expansive. A custom-handcrafted Sperry tent is installed in the courtyard, allowing you to host up to 240 guests. The vibe is an elevated garden party. You get the romance of being outdoors under the sailcloth tent while being fully protected from the elements.

Mansion Season (November through April) When the tent comes down, the wedding moves inside the mansion for a cozy, intimate experience. During these months, the capacity shifts to a maximum of 125 guests. It is the perfect setting for a winter wedding, with glowing fireplaces, dark wood paneling, and a glass conservatory that lets in beautiful natural light even on a snowy day.

Breaking Down the 2026 Costs

Budgeting for Willowdale requires looking at two main components: the site fee and the catering minimums. Based on the 2026 pricing, here is a realistic breakdown of what to expect.

Tent Season Site Fees (May–October):

  • Saturdays: $13,000

  • Fridays: $11,000

  • Sundays: $9,000

Mansion Season Site Fees (November–April):

The Garden Courtyard This is the primary ceremony spot for Tent Season. With the stone mansion as your backdrop and flowers blooming in every direction, it feels like a secret garden. At sunset, the “golden hour” light filters through the trees of Bradley Palmer State Park, creating a dreamy, ethereal glow.

The Glass Conservatory If you are having a Mansion Season wedding, the conservatory is your secret weapon. It offers 180-degree views of the woods while keeping you warm and dry. It is a spectacular spot for a first look or for intimate family portraits.
