I’m thrilled to share this Willowdale Estate winter wedding. Sarah and Marcel really wanted snow for their day in March, and the weather totally worked out for them. It snowed a few inches the days before their wedding so there was fresh snow on the ground. Then it lightly snowed on us as we were outside taking photos for their first look. Their first look was so sweet, I love the excitement on both of their faces as they saw each other for the first time.
Willowdale is this old stone mansion in Topsfield about 30 minutes north of Boston. It’s secluded and when you drive up to the venue in the winter it feels like entering the wardrobe to Narnia. It really is a magical place. I especially love the indoor ceremony space for winter weddings. It’s so warm and intimate. They had a lovely ceremony full of happy tears and I’m so thrilled that they had the wedding of their dreams. A lot of Marcel’s family came over from France for the wedding and Sarah had a bunch of her friends from California. Almost everyone that attended the wedding traveled which shows just how much they love these two.
They also took a lot of my recommendations for vendors and we seriously had the A-team at this wedding. You’ll see them throughout the post. We started at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem with Garineh and Maricruz on hair and makeup. I told you – dream team! Florals by Lilac and Lily. Paper goods by Callidora Letterpress + Design DJ was C-Zone Entertainment.
