Willowdale Estate Winter Wedding

Willowdale Estate Winter Wedding

I’m thrilled to share this Willowdale Estate winter wedding. Sarah and Marcel really wanted snow for their day in March, and the weather totally worked out for them. It snowed a few inches the days before their wedding so there was fresh snow on the ground. Then it lightly snowed on us as we were outside taking photos for their first look. Their first look was so sweet, I love the excitement on both of their faces as they saw each other for the first time.

Willowdale is this old stone mansion in Topsfield about 30 minutes north of Boston. It’s secluded and when you drive up to the venue in the winter it feels like entering the wardrobe to Narnia. It really is a magical place. I especially love the indoor ceremony space for winter weddings. It’s so warm and intimate. They had a lovely ceremony full of happy tears and I’m so thrilled that they had the wedding of their dreams. A lot of Marcel’s family came over from France for the wedding and Sarah had a bunch of her friends from California. Almost everyone that attended the wedding traveled which shows just how much they love these two.

They also took a lot of my recommendations for vendors and we seriously had the A-team at this wedding. You’ll see them throughout the post. We started at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem with Garineh and Maricruz on hair and makeup. I told you – dream team! Florals by Lilac and Lily. Paper goods by Callidora Letterpress + Design DJ was C-Zone Entertainment.

Couldn’t be more excited.

Lots of happy tears 🙂

LOVE this moment!

This is what you walk by as you’re heading into cocktail hour. Willowdale does it right!

How is he holding five glasses?!

Lilac and Lily crushed it!

The most important reason to book your wedding at Willowdale – the BEST chocolate chip cookies you’ve ever tasted.

Three minutes of night-time portraits is always a good idea.

Maybe my favorite photo of the night below. I love real moments of connection on the dance floor.

Here’s some behind the scenes with some of our favorite vendors!

Rachel from Willowdale making sure everything is absolutely perfect!

They serve apple cider when the guests walk in before the ceremony. What?!

Garineh and Maricruz with our gorgeous bride, Sarah.

These florals are going to be hard to beat this year from the ladies at Lilac and Lily!
